Disabled Veterans Scholarship Program

We at the Eastern School of Fretted Instrument Repair are proud of our outreach to our nation’s veterans as they have returned home from duty during these troubled and demanding times.

Since being approved for training by the New Jersey Department of Veterans Training as a veteran approved vocational school, we have had several veterans attend our program and have a post graduate veteran’s employment rate of over 75%.

Effective February 20, 2013, the Eastern School of Fretted Instrument Repair is now offering an annual *full scholarship for a disabled veteran.

*Includes tuition and $1500.00 tool credit

If you wish to apply for this scholarship please complete and submit the following:

  1. Certified copy of your DD214 and honorable discharge
  2. Proof and description of service related disability
  3. Completed school application
  4. A brief one page essay explaining why you feel the course would positively impact your life
  5. Current picture including your full name, address, phone number and email

*Scholarship applicants should be able to use small hand tools and hold a guitar pick if they are equipped with prosthetics, and must have the visual capability of observing small objects at distances of 2 ft. or less using appropriate visual aids. Therapy dogs are allowed if deemed necessary by physician.

Finally, the entire staff at the Eastern School of Fretted Instrument Repair would like to thank all of our countries veterans for their service. We hope this scholarship in some small way will help a veteran in his/her transition back into a productive & rewarding civilian life.
